Help to solve the problem with high definition audio driver ati!

I have problem with high definition audio driver ati.

I have purchased 4780 for my Windows XP, SP3, but I am getting error from Device Manager.

I have tried ATI drivers, but problem was not solved.

Does anybody have same issue, and which driver is suitable then?

Hi Joan,

You should try the updated software for ATI. Search and download from the company site.

You may try the supporting software for ATI on Windows XP.

It will work as a medium for initiating the driver.

If it is not useful for solving the problem, you should use Windows7 for enhanced performance.

Hey Joan,

I think you mean ATI Radeon HD 4870 (because there is no 4780 model in ATI).

By the way, what kind of problem did you encounter in your device manager? Is it a yellow exclamation mark or a red X sign?

In my opinion, the driver is not the fault there. You should have checked first the compatibility of your system with ATI 4870.

Here are the system requirements so you can verify whether your computer meets all of them:

• PCI Express based PC with one X16 lane graphic slot on motherboard
• 500 watt or higher PSU (certified power supply)
• 1GB or higher system memory

If your computer meet (or even exceed) the requirements above, then that is the time you try some other solution.

Until then, you must check your system’s capability first.
