Hey, What Does 0x800700002 Error Mean?

A) This 0x800700002 error occurs when Windows is unable to download and install updates.
To fix it, you need to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter from Windows Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot. It should fix your errors.

B) To fix it, 0x800700002 error, you need to follow these steps:

Open administrative CMD and then type the following commands one at a time and by pressing the Enter key after typing every command.

net stop wuauserv
net stop cryptSvc
net stop bits
net stop msiserver
Ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
Ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old
net start wuauserv
net start cryptSvc
net start bits
net start msiserver

Now, close the CMD, and it should work.
