How to add or remove options to right click menu
Hi,
In your Windows 7 PC, you can add or remove options to right click menu by downloading FileMenu Tools. This freeware is a utility tool that you can use to customize the right click menu on your computer. Many are times when your menu is crowded and you need to add more items and commands to it.
How to add or remove options to right click menu
Hi Mike Atherton,
Good day! I believe that you can edit your desktop right click menu on your regedit. To do that, you need first to locate the files on your system32 and find the regedit, choose start and then go to my computer and then go to your main drive which is the local disk c and then choose the windows and system32 and open regedit.
How to add or remove options to right click menu
For beginners and I’m sure for other advanced users, the context menu is a great tool that cuts time in opening programs. The options listed in the context menu are added when you install a program but not always. There are programs that don’t create shortcuts in the context menu when they are installed.
You can activate the context menu by right-clicking a file or a folder and then the context menu appears listing different available options for that file or folder. Even if it has benefits, it also has disadvantages. One is delay. Poorly-behaved context menu entries can add up delays in displaying the context menu. This adds time to your computing activities since you need to wait for the context menu to appear.
One easy way of cleaning the context menu from bad entries is to use CCleaner. It will help you remove entries or options from the context menu. It has a context-menu-editing feature that was only added recently. To clean your context menu or to remove options from the right-click menu, open CCleaner then go to Tools. See the screenshot below.
Select Startup and then Context Menu tab. To disable or deactivate an option or an entry, select it and then click Disable. You can always re-enable it back anytime you want. But be careful when deleting an option or an entry because when you delete it you need to install the program associated to it to restore the option in the right-click menu.
To download, visit Download CCleaner. For a different method of removing options in the right-click menu, watch “How to add/remove options to your right click menu | video tutorial by TechyV”.
