How to backup with Acronis

I have been using Acronis, and I made an Image of my laptop. Now my question is can I make a backup of my hard disk using the same procedure? When I try am getting an error message shown below.

 

Error message:

E00640068: Failed to create the scheduled task

The RPC server is unavailable (0xFFF0)

Code=FFFFFFFF800706BA

Tag=0xBD28FBDB64EDB821

How to backup with Acronis

Hello Roger,

Good day!

To resolve the problem simply follow this process:

1. Make sure that the “Acronis Scheduler Service” started set the “Startup type” into “Automatic”.

Note: If Windows does not boot in normal mode and you need to back up your machine, please boot from Acronis Bootable Media. (In Windows Safe mode the operation will not work because Acronis services will be unavailable).

2. Be sure that the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service is started and put it into “Automatic”.

Just simply hit Start -> Run

If the service is not Started and Automatic, just check it and make some changes in order to run.

3. If a step 1 and 2 process fails, try to run the required operation from Acronis Bootable Media.

How to backup with Acronis

Hello,

You have to ensure that the Acronis Scheduler Service is set to automatic. To do this, go to

Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Services. Set it to automatic and then restart the computer.

If that doesn't help you have to execute/run this files;schedlhp.exe and schedul2.exe via C:Program FilesCommon FilesAcronisSchedule2

Or

Go to http://dl.acronis.com/u/support/schedmgr.exe to download a file. Open the Command prompt by typing cmd on start  menu "search" box and clicking on it.

In the folder you saved the above file into, run this command "schedmgr.exe service start"  e.g. if the folder you saved in is on the desktop you will type the following commands

Cd "desktop" then press enter

Cd "folder name" then press enter

Schedmgr.exe service start press enter.
