Hi , I want to know a little bit about Realtek.
How can I check my Realtek version?Â
Can I update it using the latest version?
I saw some advertisements about Realtec audio chipsets. I like to get a little idea about all these things regarding Realtek.
Help me my friends.
How can I check the Realtek version of my PC?
Realtek is the official driver for your Realtek devices such as Realtek sound, network or wireless card. You can check on the Realtek version in the Device Manager.
Click Start and then type Device Manager from the search area. The Device Manager window will appear. Search for the Sound, Video and Game Controllers and then double-click it to expand. If there is a Realtek audio device on your computer, you can see Realtek High Definition Audio.
Double-click it and you will be prompted with its Properties. Click on the Driver tab and you will see the Realtek driver provider, driver date, driver version and the digital signer. You also have the option to Update or Roll Back the driver or to Disable to Uninstall it.

Hi Brown,
Â
You can check your Realtek version by using a utility called
Belarc Advisor. It will show you all the drivers and versions, just look for the Realtek to know its version.
Â
Another way to check it is by going to Start -> Run and type dxdiag and hit enter. Then Click the Sound tab and it will show you the version of Realtek.
Â
You can also check it by going to My Computer -> Properties and look for Device Manager -> Double click Sound, video and game controllers -> Right click your device -> Properties -> Driver. You will see the driver version.
Â
If you want to update your driver, in the latter step you can click the update driver and choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
Â
Hope this answers your question. Feel free to ask if you have any further questions.
