Hey, I'm a new user of computer. I'm operating windows expo. But I don't know how to format a windows XP? I'll be looking forward to your appropriate direction.

How can i format Windows XP?
Buy a bootable windows XP CD. Insert it in your CD/DVD drive and restart your computer.
Go to BIOS and set boot from CD. Then restart the computer again. Choose boot from CD when prompted.
Then follow instructions and format your hard drive and reinstall Windows XP.

How can i format Windows XP?
Before you reformat you computer make sure to back up all your important files and prepare the driver of your sound card, Video Graphic Adapter, and your LAN card. Your sound card driver will let you restore the audio of your computer while Video Graphic adapter driver will let you use the maximum potential of your Graphic cards. You will need the LAN card driver to install back the software and allow you to access the internet and network.
If you are ready to reformat your computer, make sure that your computer boot priority is your optical disk drive. To check where your computer will boot first, enter your computer BIOS/CMOS and set the CD/DVD drive to boot first.
Put the Windows Installation CD in your CD/DVD drive, and then restart your computer. Press any key on your keyboard when the installation ask you, to start the installation set up
If the installation doesn’t ask you to press any key check your Windows Installation CD and your CD/DVD drive then restart your computer again. If you don’t encounter this problem, wait for the files to load.
Press your keyboard’s “ENTER” key to continue to the next step of installation of Windows XP. Press F8 to accept the License Agreement when it appears on the screen. After accepting the license agreement, press the Escape button on your keyboard to continue installing, select the drive C: press the Enter key to continue to set up Windows XP. The windows set up have four options to choose.

To select the options you can use arrow key and select the “Format the partition using the NTFS files system (Quick)”. The set up will auto format your drive C. After formatting and copying the files, the system will restart.
Don’t press any key this time and wait for the Windows XP installation to continue. Enter the product key when the installation asks you, set your date, time, and your time zone. Wait for the installation to finish. After the installation is finished the system will restart and the Windows XP installation is done.
