I am handling high volumes of data using excel spreadsheet. How can I incorporate pivot table plugin to enable easy handling of my data?

I am handling high volumes of data using excel spreadsheet. How can I incorporate pivot table plugin to enable easy handling of my data?
To install a pivot table plugin; you have to open the Microsoft Excel. For the version of 97- 2003 you need to hit the data menu and select the Pivot Table and Pivot chart report. For 2007-2010 version go to insert and then click on Pivot Table. A pop up window will appear, from that window select Microsoft Office Excel list or Database. Show the pathway to save the summarized data and hit next. Again a popup window will appear and you have to click on New worksheet. Then hit the finish button.
