There are several ways that you can use to make backup copies of the software you have. And some of them are as follows:

• On your computer, create a folder in a partition that is not the primary partition, and then get all the software that you have and store them there. I am recommending a secondary partition because a primary partition can be formatted any time when the operating system fails to work properly and thus loosing the backup. You should also archive the software first to protect them against infection by viruses using a winzip program.
• You can also backup the software on an external hard drive. Just copy them and paste in a folder on an external hard drive. I will recommend that you archive the files here too.
• A third way will be to save copies if the software on DVDs and CDs.
