Dear all,
I'm using MS Access 2003. I have a large database with lots of information. I can input data in MS Access but I don't know how to make a compiled report. Most importantly, I want to make a report with the exact requirements that I need in my report.
Please let me know if anyone has any instructions which will be most helpful for me. Thanks.

How can I make report using MS Access?
To make a report using Access you have to follow some specific procedures. You can make your report as per your requirements. Here is the procedure which you have follow:
-
Open your Access Database and click on Reports located under the Objects field on the left hand side.

On the top toolbar click on the New button to start a new report.

In the report window select Report Wizard and below that choose from the drop down list which query or table you want to gather data to create the report.

After selecting correct data click Ok.
Now as you mentioned that you need a specific requirement which you need in your report. This part will allow you select the various fields from the table or query you selected.

Highlight the information in the available fields and press the arrow button to move it into the selected fields.

Click on next.

After clicking you will see a window where you can select to add grouping to various parts of your data.

After adding data then just click next. Now you will see a dialog box where you will find which order you want to make your data. Now clicking next you will see a dialog box where you can choose the layout of the report like Layout= Tabular, Orientation=portrait.

After adjusting then click next.

Next you will choose the style or appearance of the report. Once again use your best creative judgment.
You are almost done.Â
    7. Choose a name for your report. Make sure you have given good name of your report and other database user can find your report easily.

Excellent. Now you are able to make your own queries and also able to make constructive reports.
Yes, you can also publish your MS Access report. But for that, you need a file server where there would be a share drive or public drive.
In this public drive you have to put your MS Access software from this public drive so that other users are able to access.
Also be sure that the users should have access permission to access the software and see your report.

How can I make report using MS Access?
Hello Labu,
Could you please try the following instructions?
1. Open the database window press F11 and click on the Report tab
2, Click New. A dialog box appears,
3. Choose between columnar and Tabular
4. Select the table or query that you want to use for your report.
5 Click OK.
Then repeat the first two steps above. Then you will see a dialog box; click design view; then select the table or query that you intend to use. Click ok. Here is your report.
