Device Independent Bitmaps, also known by the .bmp format are high-quality images. Most of the latest image viewers present in Windows can open it, but if it doesn’t do so, then you can use Adobe Photoshop to view and edit it. You can even use MS Paint to open it and then save it in a different format like jpeg or png.
To do so:
1. Right click on the .bmp file and scroll over to Open with and click Paint.
2. In Paint, click on File option and scroll over to Save as and click on jpeg format.
3. Save it in your desired location.
