Battery life time depends on many things. If you can reduce these things you can easily run your laptop for more time. Firstly your battery lifetime depends on how much your processor working you can go to task manager to see the CPU use under performance top menu. Try to control your CPU use under 10 %. Another big thing is that your monitor brightness reduce your monitor brightness to run your laptop more time give the brightness as less you can. If you use windows 7 you also have the power saver option in the system tray after clicking on the battery button. Try all this.
Hi Torrese,
The laptop battery has a lifetime that reduces as days go by, and what that means is that one day you will eventually have to replace it. It does not stay forever. But what you can do is to prolong the lifetime of that battery so that you do not replace it so soon.
And the way to prolong the lifetime of your laptop is by the way you use it. For instance you are not supposed to overcharge your battery. When you have to use your laptop for quite a long time, it is advisable to remove the battery and connect your computer directly to the power source so as to prevent overcharging.
Clean the battery contacts regularly with alcohol or paraffin to clear off any dust that may have landed on them, because when the contacts fail, it means that the battery will also be dead too.
Another thing to do is to ensure that every time you are charging your battery, ensure that it is completely full before disconnecting from the power source. Do not charge like up to 75% and then disconnect from the power source.
When the laptop is running on the battery power, ensure that the charge gets finished completely before you connect to the power source for charging again. Do not use the battery and when it is for instance only 50 % with remaining charge and you already want to connect it to the power source for charging.
Hope this helps.

Hi,
You just select the LCD brightness to the Lower LCD brightness to provide the level of the setup item, and the LCD brightness from the power management. Just select the level from level 9 of the light from to 1 of the dark from the LCD brightness. You may change the LCD brightness, for example, with the keyboard of the computer.
Simply use the Power saving feature selects the maximum battery or maybe you can select the Ultimate Battery in the Power schemes you can drop-down for the list on the Power Schemes tab. You just disconnect the power adaptor and simply use the battery until the laptop will shut down. Makes sure the charging of the computer should last at least around 14 hours and just simply connect and disconnect the power adaptor if the battery is full.
