How can I reformat my Dell Inspiron using DataSafe BackUp CD?

My Inspiron Dell Inspiron Laptop has a built-in Windows Home Basic 7 OS. It was infected by a virus so I want to reformat it. I do not know how to reformat this laptop without an original Window 7 OS CD. All I have is my Dell DataSafe Local BackUp CD. How can I use my Dell DataSafe Local BackUp CD to reformat my laptop?

This process might take more than an hour depending on the size of the Full System Backup.

Hi,

If you want to format your hard drive then this is not possible with Dell data safe Backup CD. To format a hard drive it is necessary for you to have the windows cd. But why do you want to reformat your system. If you are having some problems you can restore your system to some earlier date.

Dell data safe backup is a utility which provide your platform to keep your data safe. So that in case of any problem with data you can easily access it from Data backup. It is the utility which run in Windows and there is no way that you can reformat your hard drive using this.

How can I reformat my Dell Inspiron using DataSafe BackUp CD?

Hello,

I can solve your problem to how you reformat the Dell Inspiron using the Data Safe Backup CD, follow may step or Instructions below:

 

• Just simply Turn on your PC.

• Then press the F8 key to your keyboard.

• Simply highlight the Repair Your Computer.

• Use the mouse for the highlight on the Advanced Options screen to your laptop.

• Just simply press Enter.

• After that click again the next to continue.

• Simply Login your administrator user name and then password.

• Then click the Dell Factory Image Recovery and Data Safe options.

• After that on the screen you need to follow so that the prompts to format your Dell Inspiron Laptop.
