At the office, my desktop pc storage became smaller and smaller, almost 80% of drive c and 75% of drive d had been occupied. Some of my office mates used to download files and data using my pc. I want to stop them downloading files by setting it on my desktop. How?
How can I restrict downloading ?
Hello Birdx, Here are some steps to restrict users from downloading unwanted files in your computer. As you said, this will definitely eat storage devices in your hard drive. 80% in Drive C and 75% in Drive D are almost and closed to the limits. Below are the tips to do so; Go to Start, Click Run and Type gpedit.msc Go to the Computer Configuration in the left Panel In the Administrative Templates, Windows components and Internet Explorer, Security Features and it should say what program to Restrict. Another steps; Click Tools in your Internet Explorer, Click Internet Options Security Tab then Custom Level. Look for Settings list and select Disable download file. OK and there you are.
