How can I retrieve my files from a corrupted storage medium

I had a USB device that ws working and after trying to save a file wont work, How can I retrieve my files from there? is there a software that can retrieve my files and where can I get such a software? What is the accurcy of retrieval of such a software and is it possible just to select a certain file name while retrieving

Hello,

 

You can used bundled OS software to repair the corrupted media. Simply navigate to storage management utilities and you will be guided through the process. Another option is to capture an image (disk image) of the device and then attempt to repair that image as a file using the same or different software. Another option would be to use an alternate OS or software to attempt to access the storage. There are scores of utilities for managing corrupted storage and recovering files. Utilize a search engine to find them.
