How can I set gtalk notifications

I have Gtalk and would like to get a notification popup in my taskbar when I want some specific friends come online and this would be very useful if I know they are online without me going to the gtalk each time to see if they are online

How can I set gtalk notifications

You can activate notifications in order to receive notification when your friend is online. Follow the following steps:

1. Open “Settings” in your friend list(top corner gear button)

2. Select “Notifications” tab, check the box for Show notification for “Friend Online”. Then Click OK.

You can check here to provide unique notification sounds to different friends.
