How can I view a file in Microsoft publisher on ubuntu?

Hello,

I have several documents written in Microsoft publisher (.pub). Please tell me how to open and view a file in Microsoft publisher in di ubuntu.

How can I view a file in Microsoft publisher on ubuntu?

There are two possible solutions to open the Microsoft Publisher files on ubuntu:

1)  You can try using Scribes which is an open source program similar to Microsoft Publisher.

2) A better and easier solution is to have the files converted to pdf format or .doc format , you can do this using a software or convert the files online.

How can I view a file in Microsoft publisher on ubuntu?

hi,

First of all it is necessary to know whether you just want to view the file or editing is required too.

If only viewing is required then you just need to save .pub file in PDF format and you can easily view it in Ubuntu. Another way to view .pub file on Ubuntu, please install crossover office and you can easily view the file in .pub format. You can find crossover from the link ahead: https://www.codeweavers.com/products/download_trial/

And if you want to edit the file you can use 'pfedit' on Ubuntu.
