If CAL's are "paper-based" licenses, how can a network administrator control or monitor the use of permission to identify in the license that follow the agreement and to control what computers domain user account to access?
How can a network administrator control or monitor the “paper-based” licenses?
The paper-based licenses will have something that will enable the network administrator to control what computers domain user account to access, for instance like the serial number. According to the agreement in the license it may be stated that the license may be usable for only five computers for example. That will be hard to implement if you are dealing with a written statement on paper that does not have anything to be entered to the computer digitally. But once you have something like a serial number being entered then it will be easy to monitor the computers that access the domain.
