How to capture nearby Mac addresses?

Hello experts,

How to capture nearby mac addresses? Is there a built in software in my mac operating system that can possibly detect nearby mac addresses which is also related with some wireless internet connection? I wish you can tell and discuss it with me with specific explanations.

How to capture nearby Mac addresses?

Hi

You need to fine all the IP addresses in LAN and select the machine that mac address is needed. Select arp request using command to get mac address.

You need to open Command line interface of window and execute these commands.

• Netview to get the list of PC connected to LAN.
• Select the machine’s IP and send ARP request by arp –a <IP address>.
• For studying more about arp you need to concern this line.

Hi,

If you want to capture nearby MAC address then you need User Hot address. By using that you can find any ip address but finding MAC address is actually tough for the user. I think there is no way to know about other users MAC id. Only the user knows the MAC id. There is also some problem like, If the user using proxy then you will get the proxy.
