Hi,

How to change scr files? I am having a problem on how to change scr files. Can you share your experiences and ideas regarding this issue? I need a solution for this problem I really need your help guys. Thanks

Depending on the windows version you are on:

From the windows explorer, Go to control panel > Appearance and personalization > Folder options

On the window that pops, go to View tab and uncheck the “hide extensions for known file types”

 

Go to the .scr file you want to change and change the .scr to .rar or .zip or any other storage type file

Alternatively,

From the windows explorer, Go to Tools > Folder options

On the window that pops, uncheck the “hide extensions for known file types”

Go to the .scr file you want to change and change the .scr to .rar or .zip or any other storage type file

This type of file is primarily associated with script. As a screen saver file, this file can execute other harmful file which carries virus like Trojan. SCR file may embedded with zip file contain a file with double extension. When you facing problems to open a SCR file, you can try these options-

1) You can identify a program that can able to open that file.

2) Go to windows explorer, select ‘Tools’, then ‘Folder options’, uncheck ‘Hide extensions for known file type’.

3) Go to your .scr file and change it to .zip, .rar, or any other format you want.
