How to change Toshiba fan setting?

Hi

I have Toshiba Satellite laptop with Windows 7.

Please tell me how to change Toshiba fan setting to avoid performance problems cause by the buildup of heat from the central processing unit.

Will it create any long term problems?

Hi Martha,

Thanks for sharing your problem. I understand your problem and I'd be glad to help you find a solution. So the problem is that your laptop generates a lot of heat. The problem is caused by the build up of dust overtime in the laptop fan and the heat sink. I am sorry to inform you that you can't change the fan speed of your laptop as it is automatic.

You don't have to worry about your laptop being damaged because it will automatically shut down itself if the maximum temp limit is reached. It just needs proper maintenance and cleaning. I suggest that you take it to a technician to do some cleaning and maintenance of the fan and heatsink. Hope this helps!
