How to connect a PS3 or PS4 to a laptop?

The truth is that I have a laptop and a PS4 but I don't have a HDTV. My laptop has a HDMI port and I want to connect my PS4 to my laptop so that I can get the display on my laptop's screen. Can I do the same with PS3? How can I do so?

How to connect a PS3 or PS4 to a laptop?

Yes, you can use your laptop screen as a monitor thorough HDMI cable.

But first make sure your laptop has a video input and have latest video or graphic card installed. 

You have to buy an external adaptor, but it is expensive. Without adaptor, laptop screen doesn't display 1080p.

And you will not get any sound. For this connect your speakers to the PS4 itself.

 

And yes, you can do the same with PS3. 

You need an adaptor and HDMi cable for it.
