I have a pair of USB Wifi adapters (for notebook) and it would be nice to be connected to the Android tablet. I suppose it would enhance the usability of a tablet when the Wifi signals are weak or distant. So it seems strange to me in the sea for the Android software I can not find anything with those purposes.
Does anyone have some know-how for he WiFi adapters? Thank You
How To connect the USB Wifi adapter to the tablet?
Hi JohnSmart! I've been configuring wireless USB adapters for almost two years now and based on facts, the wireless USB adapters will only work on computers (desktops, laptops, and notebook). The reason is simply because they are built for these specific devices (computers) only. Even the latest wireless USB adapters out on the market right now will not support Android tablets, nook, and ipad’s. I would suggest that since your main purpose is to get a higher signal to your to your Android tablet, use a wireless N router or wireless range extenders instead. That will surely boost your networks wireless signal.
How To connect the USB Wifi adapter to the tablet?
USB WiFi adapters are not designed to be used in tablets. Even if it can be, it will be useless. It will not help boost the speed of the connection of the tablet, thus, it will just more likely be the same. However, If you are thinking of having the existing speed of your tablet's wireless adapter to be added to the speed of your WiFi adapter, it will just make the scenario vaguer. Just like a laptop with a built-in WiFi, if you plug in a USB WiFi adapter, it will just disconnect the built-in ones and consider using the USB adapter instead. Simply put, using WiFi adapters to tablets is not possible.
