How could browsers save as mht by default

I want to save some studies for future reading. Most of these studies are webpages. I know the ease of saving file with mht extensions rather than saving it as html. I'm using Mozilla Firefox as my browser. But I still have IE. How could these browsers save as mht by default?

Good day!
Yes it would be very easy to just save webpages as it is (.mht) rather than saving it to an html file. Good thing you are using Firefox because they have this add-ons that directly save your webpage with MHT as default. You could download it here

Good thing about this add-on is that:
  • You could also save multiple webpages into MHT files at once.
  • You can save multiple webpages into one single MHT file.
  • It has a Quick Save Feature which let you save a page with just a click of a button.
  • You can convert HTML files into MHT files.
hope this helps!
