Hello expert,

I am finding some of the problem how to create random disk id on Microsoft windows vista home basic pop up, I have recently installed it. Earlier, I was using Windows 7 operating system, but now Microsoft windows vista home basic fixes some problem on my desktop. An anyone please advise me how to a create random disk id for Microsoft windows vista home basic pop up. Please help me.

How to create random disk id

 

Hi William,

 

Thank you for using Microsoft Windows Vista Home Software.  You have mentioned that you used Windows 7 operating system prior to installing Vista operating system. Did you set the DiskField by querying the underlying objects stored in an implementation-specific manner?

 

It is a must that the same value returned in an SMB2 query _info response and SMB2 query _info request with the file information class field is set to the file internal information value.  

 

Before you create your Disk ID, make sure the Diskfield uniquely identifies all your sharing files same as your Volume ID value in the server.

Then, once everything is up and running, as described by the CreateContextLength and createContextOffset fields of the response, the server must be included in the "Response Construction" phase.
