I am a businessman. I handle the database of the goods. Instead of writing a long description of the product, I want to write a SKU number. How to create a SKU number for a product?

How to create a SKU number for a product and importance?

SKUs are the basically items identification number. They are useful in identifying the items uniquely especially in inventory. Instead of typing the lengthy description, we can simply write the SKU number.

Never start the number with zero. Don't start the number with the alphabets that resembles each other such as 0. The number should be between 4 to 8 digits. Use some of the few alphabets. Do not use the confusing character such as *, /.
