How to Deploy Non-MSI Software with GPO?

Hello,

I would like to standardize the desktop environments of the computers in one department. This would include wallpapers, My Documents, Start menu, etc. What are the steps that should be done? Is it possible to use non MSI software with GPO?

How to Deploy Non-MSI Software with GPO?

Yes Mr. Samson it is possible to use non MSI software in GPO- Group Policy Object. To do such job you have to follow given steps:

• First assign the policy then publish the policy
• Now create a distribution point for GPO
• Now create a GPO
• Now assign the non MSI software in the active directory users and computers
• And finally you can publish it
• Also you can redeploy the software and if wish can remove it.
