How To Develop A Sharepoint Site On Windows?

Before getting started, contact your server administrator and make sure that you have Create Subsites permission as being a member of that group. After that, follow the steps as mentioned below:

1. Open SharePoint Designer 2007.

2. Go to the File menu > New > Website.

3. Now, enter the location and name of the site in the specified box.

4. Choose the template that you want to create from the leftmost window.

5. On the center pane, click on the selected template.

6. After that, you can now select the other options such as:

• Add to current Website
• Use Encrypted Connection (SSL)

7. Click OK. Your new Website is on the server.
