Whenever I plug my iPod Touch to my computer, iTunes automatically syncs. I know this is a feature of iTunes but I'm constantly updating my iTunes library and I do not want to update the library of my iPod automatically. What can I do  to stop the automatic synchronization, because sometimes I just want to charge my iPod.
How to Disable Automatic Sync on iTunes
Hi James,
Good Day to you!
I understand your point that there are times that you want to plug-in your iPod Touch in your PC, to just simply charge it, and you don;t want to sync it, here are my best solution for you to disable the auto sync feature.
-
Before you attach your iPod Touch, go to iTunes.
-
On your computer, go to the menu iTunes > Preferences > Devices.
-
When you are there you will see a pop up window, locate the icon or a tab that named Devices.
-
Underneath the box, you’ll see there a check-box that says: Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPad from syncing automatically.
-
Have it Checked and click OKÂ located at the bottom of the window.
I hope this will help you in turning off the auto sync.
Enjoy!
