Hello! Please help me to solve this problem. I am using AVG Antivirus registered version 9.0. I have downloaded a VMware workstation from the internet when I extracted them. The AVG gives me an error that "virus detected, do you want to delete?". I don't know how to disable the AVG to install VMware to start work.
How to disable the AVG antivirus
To disable your AVG Antivirus, right click the resident shield icon found in the system tray, then click the open AVG User interface.
Again you will see a clickable option titled into the Resident Shield, again just click on this and then go to the tools menu and advanced, again click on the resident shield. In your new window you will find a check box entitled Resident Shield Active.
Then uncheck the check box to disable the shield.
Change the desired protection on you AVG after disabling.
Close the main interface so that AVG window closes from the task bar but still stay as a resident system tray.
How to disable the AVG antivirus
If you are getting some problem in installing your software and antivirus is giving you some messages then you must need to check that where the problem is located.
Solve the problem first and then you need to install your software again. Many of the VMware contain errors and virus programs, and they really can infect your computer so you need to check that your program is virus free and then you can install your program easily.
To disable your Antivirus program you can uninstall it but if you don't want to uninstall it then you can simply go to settings and then from there you can disable the antivirus program.
Now you need to run your computer in safe mode and must set a backup of your files also to make sure your window is not being corrupted. In safe mode install the program and you will go through your program.
I hope it will help you a lot to solve your problem.
