How do I boost computer sound output?

I recently added an Altec Lansing speaker with subwoofer to my Windows XP 64 bit system.  Is there an option in XP to boost computer sound output beyond the volume control?  Any feedback would be much appreciated.  Thanks.

How do I boost computer sound output?

Everyone wants to get extra volume from their PC in addition of speaker volume program. But it there is no easy way to increase the sound.

 You can use VLC player. VLC player has an extra sound utility. You can increase your sound into 200 than normal 100. I also use the VLC player to increase my computer sound.
