How do I change theme with My Chrome Theme?

Good day fellow Techyv members. 

I started using Google Chrome recently as my preferred search engine. 

Can someone teach me the step by step procedure on how to use My Chrome Theme to change my current theme? 

Will this be installed as an add-on?

How do I change theme with My Chrome Theme?

Hi Doris W Neil,

You can put themes on your Google Chrome by accessing its chrome web store and downloading a theme that will suit your taste.

For example the web store site contains a category on the lower side of the webpage that is Themes, Another thing is by going on the settings and finding the appearance area, click Themes and find your desired template

How do I change theme with My Chrome Theme?

• Go to the site Google Chrome Fans
• Choose a color that you want and download the .ZIP file anywhere you like.
• Close Google Chrome if it is open.
• Go to the .ZIP file, and extract it to
• If using Vista: C:/Users/{Username}/AppData/Local/Google/Chrome/Application/{current version}/Themes/
• If using Windows XP: C:/Documents and Settings/{User name}/Local Settings/Application Data/Google/Chrome/Application/{current version}/Themes/
• If asked whether you want to replace the file, click "Yes"
• Finally open Chrome, and the new theme will be the color you chose.

How do I change theme with My Chrome Theme?

If your web browser supports changing of its skin, it’s fun to change the way it looks using themes like in Google Chrome to give it a livelier view.

To add or change a theme in Google Chrome, click the Chrome menu button on the browser toolbar then select Settings. Under Appearance, click “Get themes” to visit the gallery. Alternatively, you can go directly to the gallery by visiting Chrome Web Store | Themes besides accessing it from the menus.

Before deciding on which theme to use, preview each theme by clicking on the thumbnail. You can always go back to the gallery by hitting Escape on your keyboard. To use the theme, click “Choose theme”.

Your web browser will download the theme as “.crx” file. The selected theme will then be applied automatically after downloading it. And as always, you can go back to your previous theme by clicking Undo if you happen to dislike its appearance.
