How do I check SharePoint site disk space usage?
Hi Eduardo
In order to check how much disk space a SharePoint site is using you must be a Site Collection Administrator or owner.
- From the home page, click Site Actions.
- Click Settings.
- Under Site Collection Administration, click Storage space allocation.
- View the usage for individual folders or documents.
- You can also see the top largest files by changing the sort to Show Only: Documents, show the top 100 and click Go. If you have versions of those files, you will see them listed in the Detail column.
Hope this helps !

How do I check SharePoint site disk space usage?
Hello Thomas. To check the disk space of a site using MS Sharepoint, follow the following steps:
1. Click on Site Settings.
2. Click on Go to the site admin.
3. Click on View Site Collection Usage Summary.
4. Then go to View Storage Space Allocation. This will show you how much disk is being used.Â
There is an option for Sharepoint user, that is you can buy more space and have other upgrades. This will help you to use more space and make new sites. A sql server stores all the image, text and other files.
So obviously the disk space is a concern for the user. So by checking disk space you can calculate how much more space do you need and take proper steps.Â
