How do I create and record message Mac?

I have the Retina Display MacBook Pro that has a 2.5 GHz Dual-Core Intel i5, 8 GB RAM, 128 GB HDD and OSx Mountain Lion. 

I want to create and record an audio message. 

How do I record message Mac?

How do I create and record message Mac?

Hi Jane,

Computers made by Apple has a software-recording called “Garageband. Garageband is a Music Editor software that you can simply make music or upload sounds.

 

I recommend this, so you can record and save your recorded audio/ voice using your MacBook Pro.

 

It's simple and it's easy to use.

How do I create and record message Mac?

Hi Jane,

You can try to look for Audacity it is also embedded on newer Macs. If you can't find it is readily available to be downloaded online for free. 

Some built in software on MAC has the recording feature on it QuickTime has its own recording function and the option is found in the File menu then new audio recording.

However, voice recording is only available on upgrading QuickTime Pro Version for $25.
