How do I disable Android weather for sound effects?

Hi.  I have the LTE HTC Thunderbolt with Qualcomm MSM8655 Snapdragon chipset, 1GHz Scorpion CPU and upgraded Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.  How do I turn off weather sound effects?  There is no option in Android weather for sound effects.

How do I disable Android weather for sound effects?

Sorry, there is no option for turning off sound effects for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in HTC thunderbolt. Usually the option is under  Weather App> Menu > Settings. 

But if option is not there then, I would  suggest you can install other clock and weather widgets to get rid of the sounds. You can wait till Android comes with another upgrade to solve this.

How do I disable Android weather for sound effects?

 

Hi Leonard S Lockhart,

 

Do you want to disable only the sound, or even live weather application?

 

If it is just the sound, than go to the icon of the Weather near to the clock, go to menu and then deactivate it (turn it off).

Or you can try the other way, which is: go to menu of wallpapers and select the active wallpaper – go to settings – disable sound (off)

 

In case you want to disable the weather application itself you could just try to delete/uninstall the wallpaper from the wallpaper menu.
