DraftSight is a free 2-dimensional CAD or Computer-Aided Design application that allows you to create, view, and edit DWG and DXF AutoCAD files. It is a freeware application designed by Dassault Systèmes that allows users access to DWG and or DXF files no matter what CAD software was originally used to construct them but excluding versions starting from AutoCAD 2013 and later editions.
The installer normally is around 76 MB like in previous releases and will expand to around 185 MB after installing and checking its folder. It uses Graebert GmbH’s ARES for its platform. It is a kind of software chiefly designed for professional CAD users. It can open and print files to formats such as .jpg, .svg, .png, .plt, and .pdf.
