You know, like the video card, processor, hard drive, all that.
I just want to know what kind of laptop I have, but I don't know if you have to open it up and check inside to know.
I would prefer not to if it's possible.

If you have windows XP installed on your computer then go to start menu and then click on run and you can also use the short key which is (Windows+R) and in Run window just type dxdiag and then press enter then a window opens with several tabs.

It is very easy to see the all components of your computer without opening the case.
Just type “devmgmt.msc” in RUN and press enter. This will open the device manager.
This is a picture of the device manager.
You can also open it in another way. Right click on the My Computer icon and choose properties.
Then, click on Hardware, then choose Device Manager.
Another other method is to type “dxdiag” in RUN and press enter.
Then, it will show you the complete hardware profile.
