Google Hot Trends is the new feature of Google Trends that measures the popularity of Google search terms. It displays the hottest current searches of the day whose previews popularity soared over a period of time, while giving explanations on why the search word is “HOT”. It shows only the top 20 hottest searches in the United States with its accompanying “hotness score” and is also updated multiple times a day. Google search trend is a way for people to know what interesting news is “IN” right now, what has captured our attention, and be updated with the current events to latest celebrity gossips. Also this has a history feature if you want to know what the trend was for a particular date.
Google Trends is a public web service of Google Inc. and is based on Google Search. It shows how frequently a specific search term is entered or searched in relation to the overall number of search-volume across different regions around the world and in different languages. It also lets the user compare quantity of searches between two or more terms.
Google Hot Trends is just an addition to Google Trends. It shows the top 20 hot searches for the past hour in the United States, for example “fast rising”. But it only applies to the searches that have recently experienced unexpected pour in popularity. Google Hot Trends gives a 24-hour search-volume graph including web search results, blog, and news for every search-terms.
It also features a history for those who want to browse previous hot searches. The Google Hot Trends can be installed as an iGoogle gadget and is also available as an hourly Atom web feed.
