How does server virtualization works in upgrading OS?

Hello,

Please let me know what I need to do before our domain controller is upgraded to Server 2008 R2. What are the reasons on why Windows 7 should not be skipped instead of upgrading directly to Windows 8? How does server virtualization works?

How does server virtualization works in upgrading OS?

 

Server virtualization runs like a physical device that is capable of running own operating system. By this, you can create virtual servers for the machines processing power but in practice, that would not always be the best idea. Because of this, the administrator can make one server to multiple virtual machines.

How does server virtualization works in upgrading OS?

 

Hi Juanmwarner, The main task of serve virtualization is to divide one physical server into multiple isolated virtual environments. It does this function by the help of a third party software application. Thanks.
