I wish to transfer data from my PC to android tab using USB Memory. How can I enable emulator android usb windows to copy files into the tab. Now emulator recognizing my USB Memory as a Human Interface Device, not as a storage medium. How do I configure Emulator properly to enable my data transfer.

Hey Ameliabelindaa,

You need to activate the Mass storage option on your android device. Depending on your android version and device brand there are many shortcuts to do that.

The stock method would be going to settings, connect to pc, choose the mass storage option. You might have to wait a few seconds depending on the class and speed of your memory card.

The USB Mass Storage option is not available on certain Android 4.0+ devices, without a separate memory partition. But now Android started using MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) or PTP (Picture transfer Protocol) to transfer the files. Now to configure between MTP and PTP(if SD Card is available on device):
 
Settings > Device > Storage > Menu > USB computer connection.
 
For transferring the files to your device via MTP, it should be in the MTP mode, then connect the device to your computer via a USB cable. On windows, Windows will automatically install the necessary drivers; whereas on MAC Book, you have to install Android File Transfer Software.
