How to Enable Firewall on Windows Vista PC?

Hi,

Can anyone simply instruct, how to activate firewall in my windows vista operating system.Does firewall really protect from external threats.

How to Enable Firewall on Windows Vista PC?

Hi Mr. Gilchrist,

 

Really it restricts information that comes to your computer from other computers, giving you more control over the data on your computer and providing a line of defense against people or programs including viruses and worms which try to connect to your computer without invitation.

         Kindly follow the below mentioned steps in order to activate windows firewall security settings in windows vista operating system.

1. Go to start and click on control panel.

2. Find security icon in the control panel wizard and click on security icon.

3.Then click on security center.

4.Then click on windows firewall.

5.Now click on turn windows firewall on or off.

6. Select the on(recommended) option.

7.Click OK.

your windows firewall is activated now.
