I have restricted access to some of my folders and files in my computer. The only way to restrict is of course, to use the folder password protection. However, I need to allow some users to access the files and folders which are sitting on my Windows XP machine. I know how to enable the password but I would like to know if I can actually enable a folder password counter? This could be a great feature so I know when and how many times the folder has been accessed.
How to enable folder password counter?
If you want to password protecting document, you should also create a backup of the non-password protected folder and files in case you forget the password in the future.
Well, if you are windows XP home user you can try these steps
1. Select the folder you wish to encrypt.
2. Right-click the folder and then click on ‘Properties’.
3. Click the Sharing tab.
4. Check the box Make this folder private
5. Click apply then, Ok.
Hope, that process will help you.
