Hello friends,

How to extract damaged tar?

I have a tar file which is corrupted by an unknown virus.

I haven’t installed any antivirus that may protect my Windows 7 64 bit computer system.

Give me a possible solution to fix this damaged tar file or any option to recover it.

How to extract damaged tar?

You have two options to follow:

1.   Extract the file using WinRAR:

• Right click on the file and choose Extract
• Click to check the box of the Keep Broken File
• Extract

2. Open File From WinRAR

• Press Right click
• Choose Repair archive
• Browse where you want to save the file
• Choose either Treat the corrupt archive as RAR or as ZIP (choose any one of them, if one didn’t work try the other)
• Go to the folder where it is saved
