How to extract sid file ?

Hello Tech's,

 

Could anyone explain me how to extract sid file from a package in case I would want to mount the image from the package ?

Seems that it requires a special software in order to get the file.

How to extract sid file ?

Dear Carlos;

There are three types of .sid files. I give you a brief description of all along with the programs that open these files.

• MrSID is an image file used to store and partition large GIS images. ACD System Canvas 14 is used to extract these files.
• SID files along with SIS and SIM files used to restore backup game data. Valve steam program is used to open these files.
• SID audio file is used for video game background music. It can use mono and stereo audio files. ACID 64 player or SID Tools are the programs which will help you to open these files.
