Hi!
I would like to know more about robotics. How does sensing is applied in robotics. So far what are the human senses that can be mimic by robots? In locomotion, how good were the movements of the robots? Does it exactly can do the same movement with human or still in slow-motion? What is haptic technology and tele-operation in robotics? What is MIT’s Cyberflora project? Did they achieved their goals is it successful program? What can you say about their achievements
Thank you!
How far we are now with robotics and A.I.
Robotics are still evolving each day, and the big laps and universities are coming closer to create the ultimate A.I robot every day, so far from what I know, they are able to mimic all human senses and abilities, MIT and many others have managed to create many prototypes of robots who able to do everything comes in mind, and from what I see all the hardware issues have been solved starting with the simple movement and not ending with biological features, yet the biggest obstacle right now is the A.I part which is still in a very slow-motion which simply is the software part of the equation, all high-end and very sophisticated designs are limited with the guided pre-programmed intelligence. I believe that the threshold here is to cross that thin line between the pre-programmed and the self-programmed way of robotics thinking.
