Hi Experts

Please help me on this:

There are 3 dots appearing on my screen. I tried to wipe them because I thought they are just dirt but they are not. They are appearing on every page that I go to. They changed colors sometimes but most of the time they are back.

I am using:

Acer Aspire Notebook

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470

Win 7

100 GB HDD

Intel Dual Core

No clue if this is a hardware problem or not. So please let me know if you know any solutions for this. I am afraid that it will spread all throughout my LCD screen.

Thanks.

Hi Shawn,

The black dots on your screen is called dead pixel which is normally experience in LCD monitor.
You can't determine if there is really a problem on your LCD if you not using a software "PixelRepairer"
This software helps you finding dead pixels on your LCD.

This are the process:

Clean your LCD
Run ""PixelRepairer" program
Click the search button
Choose one color pattern and then click Enable display.
when you find the dots / pixels that are in different color, means that there are dead pixels on the LCD.
Try to fix dead pixels by:
Run "PixelRepair"
Click the Repair button and Add button to add repair area
Try to repair deadpixel
Open and Select noise mode.
If the process is not successful
Use SOLID MODE equal to the monitor frequency
Try to Wait a couple an hour for the repair process anyway you can perform other task while waiting.

good luck
