How can I fix the error 0x800710FE?

I'm trying to delete a file, which is from a folder – redirected to a network share.

I use windows 7 and I receive this error message:

Delete File

An unexpected error is keeping you from deleting the file. If you continue to receive this error you can use the error code to search for help with this problem.

Error 0x800710FE; This file is currently not available for use on this computer.

Type: WIriRAR archive

Size 0 bytes

Date modified: 23/01/2010 338 PM

How to fix WinRAR error

To fix the error code 0x800710FE, you may try the following:

• Use PC Cleaner Pro (download it from PC Cleaner Pro).
• Make sure that your Windows OS is updated with all the latest patches (http://www.update.microsoft.com/windowsupdate/v6/default.aspx?ln=en).
• Use the Reimage program for Windows repair to scan and diagnose then repair your system.

To use the PC Cleaner Pro, please do the following:

• Save PC_Cleaner_Pro.exe on your desktop.
• Double-click on PC_Cleaner_Pro.exe icon.
• Install it to C:Program FilesPC Cleaners.
• Follow the on-screen instructions.
• Wait for the PC Cleaners icon to be created on the desktop.
• Launch PC Cleaner.
• Once it is finished scanning, click on Fix All.To fix the error code 0x800710FE, you may try the following:

How to fix WinRAR error

Hi Carson Fernandez,

In Windows Vista or Windows 7 when deleting a folder or file from a folder that is redirected to a network share you may experience the following error:

 

An unexpected error is keeping you from deleting the file. If you continue to receive this error, you can use the error code to search for help with this problem.

• Error 0x800710FE: This file is currently not available for use on this computer.

To resolve this problem perform the following steps:

 

1. Click Start and enter regedit in the start search to open Registry

Editor.

 

2. Expand to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionNetCache

 

3. Add a new key:

Key Name: FormatDatabase

Key Type: DWORD

Key Value: 1

 

4. Restart the computer then the CSC cache is rebuilt. Test the same issue again.

 

If this does not resolve the problem try uninstalling anti-virus software as there has been known cases where AV has caused this problem.
