Hi Experts,

I am having MS Word 2007 and I have typed a letter with Arial font. I need to make font narrow and dotted. I tried to achieve this using font tab but could not find the proper place for this change. Can anyone give me guidance? Thanks.

Hello Kierstenrhiannon;

I suggest you follow these steps to change the font in your Microsoft Word 2007 document:

  • Create a new document based on the normal template by clicking NEW on the NEW DOCUMENT task pane>>BLANK DOCUMENT>>CREATE;
  • Proceed to click FONT group and click FONTS;
  • In the FONT dialog box, you select the font, point size and any other attributes you need and the click DEFAULT.
  • When you receive this pop-up message:

“Do you want to change the default font to font name?

This change will affect all new documents based on the NORMAL template.”

  • Click YES. SAVE ALL in the customarized Quick Access Toolbar.

Briefly but a quick one, you can watch the video

I hope this helps.

Kierstenrhiannon,

In order to change the font on your document as you know you go to: Format>font and you will see the list that Word has preloaded.  To get, however, "dot" formats I have included a site in which you can download "dot" formats:  https://www.discoverfonts.com/font-categories/dotted.aspx.
