Hi friends,

I am learning Misc databases and their conversions. I want to convert the excel tables into mdb, can anyone provide me the online material for learning how to get complete information of how to import xls data to mdb.

How to import Excel data to mdb

Hello,

 

You will need to convert XLS to MDB by doing the following steps: Open Microsoft Access and click the  new option to create a new blank database. Then, click "File", "Open" on the main menu to get the "Open" dialog box. Choose "Microsoft Excel" or "Excel Workbook" from the "Files of types" drop down list. If you are going to transfer a single workbook then, the Excel Workbook option is the one you need.

 

Find the Excel file that you want to convert to MDB format from your computer, and click "Open." Now, the "Link Spreadsheet Wizard" will appear on the screen. The first screen shows you a preview of the data from your Excel spreadsheet. All worksheets in the spreadsheet are listed in the box at the top. Select the one that you want to transfer to MDB  and click "Next." Check the worksheet and verify that the column header in the first row and then click "Next." Type a name for your new Access table and click "Finish."
