Hello experts,

How to import winzip for photoshop? I got some image files that are zip and I want to import or open it in my cs5 adobe photoshop. Can you give me a step by step instruction on the proper way of importing these files in to the software? Thank you.

Hi Bryan,

The best solution for that problem is to unzip the file he is right!.If you didn't download the winzip installer you can browse this site http://www.winzip.com/win/en/ you can download here for free or but i think if want to download this is just for free trial version with it, If you are in a hurry. But you can try searching in Google for free download winzip installer there are a lot of free sites for winzip installer.

How to import winzip for Photoshop?

First right click on the zip file and select open with winzip.

Now right click on the files and select all. Then click on the Extract button.

Now select destination location for files you want to extract. After all these files are extracted open Adobe Photoshop CS5 and open the extracted files with photoshop. That's it.

You have to unzip your zip file first, and then open your images in Adobe Photoshop CS5 later. To unzip your folder, you can use:

–          Winzip: http://www.winzip.com/win/en/

–          Winrar: https://www.win-rar.com/start.html?

–          7-zip: http://www.7-zip.org/

How to import winzip for Photoshop?

You cannot import or open ZIP files in Adobe Photoshop. Adobe Photoshop is a photo editing application which supports a wide variety of image file formats. A zipped file (*.zip) is an archive file or a compressed file which may contain one or more files inside.

If your images are in a ZIP file, you have to unpack them first to extract the image files from the ZIP file and then you can open them in Adobe Photoshop. ZIP files can be opened with WinZip (the default program), WinRAR, and 7-Zip. WinZip and WinRAR are paid applications or commercial products. They are offered as trial versions which works until the trial period expire.

If you want a free application to open the ZIP files, download 7-Zip.
