How does RAID actually work? What is Parity and hybrid RAID? What are RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 2, RAID 3, RAID 4, RAID 5, RAID 6 and how did they work? Is the nested RAID and hybrid RAID same? How can software RAID be implemented? What are the weaknesses In RAID? Thank You
How is important RAID in system configurations?
Hi,
The RAID is Redundant Array of Independent Disks is technology of data storage visualization which combines multiple disk drive components. There are RAID levels like RAID 0 level is blocks striped, no parity and no mirror. RAID 1 level is blocks mirrored, no parity and no stripe. RAID 2 is bits striped. RAID 3 is bytes striped. RAID 4 is blocks striped. RAID 6 is blocks striped with two distributed parity. Nested and Hybrid RAID are same.
